Linebarrels of Iron

This is the best robot show I have seen in quite a while. It is impressive that the creators of Gundam finally hit the mark. Unfortunately, this show falls victim to the new infestation that plagues the majority of the robot shows in Japan. This malady is called pixels. It makes a distinct tangent between the scenery , the characters and the machine that it is operated. It really looks like it was made by a computer and I cannot tolerate that. I am too old fashion to suffer my eyes to such infamy...Anyway, I watched it from start to finish. At the end it looked like they stopped producing the show. So, you should not expect an ending if you watch it. If only to see pretty girls and robot battles then this is the show for you.

This anime was created by the great and all powerful Osamu Tezuka aka the godfather of anime. Unlike his previous kiddy grade works like Astro Boy, 009-1 displays a high level of violence and adult situations. He usually cuts to the chase. There are no annoying long nonchelat scenes. This show is about the Cold War. The main character is a beautiful chick robot spy that is trying to save a doctor that created a new form of energy . Should this energy fall into the wrong hands the Cold War could really start heating up!

This anime show I used to watch it along Pokemon. Like Pokemon, the first season was amassing. However, at the show progressed it got worse and worse. I practically stopped watching it after Seto defeated the terrible computer virus that had trapped him within his PC. I found it rather annoying this rest in peace deal. If I had been Yami I would have said "screw you...Shadi I want to stay as a poltergeist forever,baby".

Fullmetal Alchemist and Brotherhood

In the first version the Elric brothers battle the evil Dante. The name Dante is taken from the Divine Comedy. Like hell and the seven sins there are 7 homunculi. In both shows, the general thesis expostulated is that there is no way to bring someone back to life. It is impossible to give a life for a life. In Brotherhood, the homunculi are actually pumped up humans that are possessed by the general sentiment that inhabits each individual philosopher stone. This concept of the philosopher stone ( or egg) was created by the medieval alchemist.

What westerners forget is that Japanese humor is a bit unlike our humor. Still they have mastered rather well many universal jokes. Universal jokes are those that applied to all life experiences they range from misunderstanding jokes to physical comedy. The most common are the offended jokes. In this falls under the physical comedy gig. Here an anime character gropes a hot girl and she sends him flying with her upper cut. There are other variations of these pervy jokes but the result still remains the same.

Off beat is a fancy term I made up in order to describe anime shows that in my opinion surpassed all expectations in the both technique, them and storyline. They are the Polaris (north star) of anime. Whoever whats to make an extremely good anime show they should have the above themes that are so predominant in these anime shows.

5 Sci Fi Animes that Are 5 Star Worthy

Another popular anime genre in Japan is that of sci fi. In anime shows we see anime characters plunging into a technological world filled with wonders and delights. Technology like it is to be expected plays a key role in such anime shows. Among key technological advances is that of space travel. Space travel helps humans come into with beings of other worlds. In other variations humans have been able to populate the farthest regions of the galaxy. There may not be aliens but at least there are many humans out there in the universe.

Ceres: The Celestial Maiden

Unlike all the other ones I mentioned before, Ceres is truly 100% Shojo. The story of Ceres begins a 1000 or so years ago. She is a tennyo, or a celestial maiden. She married into the Mikage family after the head of the Mikage family stole her celestial robes. Without them she was caught in the cycle of rebirth of the Mikage family. Every so often, one of her descendants is born with a body that can host her spirit. In order to tell for certain the Mikage family hold a special ritual where they show off the mummified hand of the Celestial Maiden. Should Ceres manifest that person is killed instantly by all the members of the family. The reason for this murder is because Ceres has sworn a vendetta against the Mikage family for having wronged her and stolen from her, her celestial robes.

Eureka 7Anime Review

There is a lot to be said about Eureka Seven. There is kid soldiers, genocide , equality of the races, the zone, technology, the Scub Corals, Buddhist influence, lost of innocence, wars, elitism, inter-generation clashes (old vs Young) , ect, ect. It is almost impossible to pick a single topic and claim outright that it is the sum of all themes of Eureka Seven. It is for this reason that I will try to stay around the periphery of all the above mention topics and thus muster my intellect to tell you outright that this is what Eureka Seven is about.

Anime Action

I really do feel sad out of the blue. To be redoing this wiki again really does me terrible harm. So many hours wasted. But alas I will not cry any more for spilled milk. If you are here you must want information. I will use all my knowledge to try to convey to you the true meaning of anime action and violence in anime. Anime violence is the second most popular genre in anime. It contrives many popular subcategories such as supernatural, ninjas and samurais. What they all have in common is the terrible violence that permeates all episodes.

Afro Samurai

Afro Samurai was the handy work of a mangaka artist by the name of Takashi Okazaki. Since he was a child he liked the old western movies, soul music ad hip hop. Afro Samurai is a chimera of the samurai tradition combined with the above western trends. It is for this reason, that westerners like me where under the impression that Afro Samurai was the handy work of an America. But not, this is the fancy work of a Japanese man imitating the mannerism of the west.

Marvel Wolverine

Marvel wolverine is a co up effort carried out by Marvel Comics and the super powerful anime company by the Name of Madhouse inc. This is part of a 12 part series whose sole purpose is to introduce to the Japanese otaku market marvel comic books. Part of the line up includes Iron Man, Wolverine , X men (that is set to come out this April) and Blade. From all those mentioned above, I am far more exited about Blade. Can you imagine how bloody that anime show is gonna be. but this post is about wolverine so I will refrain from going off topic.

Claymore

In the world of Claymore humanity is constantly being assailed by monsters known as Yoma. The origin of these demons is unknown to humans. All that is certain about them is that they are the enemy. In the graphic novel they seem to imply that Yoma are actually humans that turned to demons. It is for this reason that the Organization created human/yoma half breed warriors. the process of creating these warriors involves the putting the yoma essence into the human body. If they are strong, then the yoma blood does not kill them. those that survive the operation become what is known as a claymore. this name was given to these warriors by the commoners due to the giant claymore sword they carry in their backs. It is not the official name but it gives the common a name by which to refer to their saviors.

Samurai Champloo

Samurai Champloo is the handy work of Shinichiro Watanabe. His other notorious work is Cowboy bebop. this anime takes place during the Edo Period. Watanabe takes great pains to recreate the world of the Edo period in its most terrifying brutal colors. Anyhow, the main story revolves around a waitress in search of her father, aka The Sunflower Samurai. She had been waiting to save enough money to leave however, her journey is speedup up after she meets Mugen and Jin. Mugen hails from Ryukyu (modern day Okinawa). He mainly travels around looking for food and women. in the first episode he offered Fuu to get rid of some annoying customers in exchange 100 dumplings. Jin ( rounin samurai) later comes into the bar thinking that Mugen is the problem.

Blood+

The nature of Blood Plus is quite critic indeed. Part of this anime show is a remake more humane down to earth version of Blood the Last Vampire. This is one of such anime shows that are super major big company productions. within this anime show are very dangerous contemporary Japanese problems like the plight in Okinawa. These problems in modern day japan are only lightly alluded too and carefully masquerade in this bone chilling anime show. Over all this anime show is just as innocent as it is cruel.

Gai Rei: Zero

Gai Rei: Zero is a prequel to the anime show called Gai Rei.This story begins with Kagura coming to live with Yomi’s family. Both come from families of Ghost hunters. In time their relationship grows and they become as close as sisters. Now at an older age they balance out school, homework and ghost hunting. Both Yomi and Kagura are expert katana wielders. The only difference is that Kagura’s sword has the power to summon a giant demon spirit familiar. Using this demon both Yumi is able to make quick work of her enemies.

Hellsing

Alas it is Abraham Van Hellsing !!! No , Oh yeah, now is sir Integra Hellsing. Wait !! When did the Hellsing family become Protestant. If I remember correctly...uhh... wasn't Van Hellsing Jewish. Bram Stoker made a hundred allusions to Van Hellsing being Jewish. For example, he is from Poland (all the intellectuals where Jewish). He acts like such... always butting in...Being far too aware that all religions are based on superstition. And the Abraham name...Is that really a regular protestant polish name... Frankly people. Sir Integra was supposed to be Jewish. I do not know why the vampires obsess so much about England. I suppose that all the past English Gothic writers had to kiss up to her royal highness. People forget that vampires emigrated from Mongolia. The vampire concept was brought into Europe by the Tartars. Dracula claims to be of the lineage of Atila the Hun.So why not Chinese vampires in the show??

I seem to be going through a Lady GaGa phase. In any case, I collected 21 magazine covers that features Lady GaGa. She is quite photogenic. In this photo the is completely in the nude. Her hair neatly arranged around her form. I am not too certain about the necklace. It looked cute in the profile picture...but here it seems a bit out of place. Lets see, Vanity Fair is a magazine of pop culture and current events. In any case, this cover deserves 5 stars.

The Fashion of Lady Gaga

Only an eccentric artist like Lady Gaga can make meat look this fashionable. Damn, who came up with this design. Still she does looks pretty hot with the meat all over her finely tuned body. What I find a bit anti climatic is expensive jewelery next to such cheap meat. Then again she might be wearing some very expensive beef. In any case, for originality, this "dress" deserves 5 stars.

5 Audioslave Songs that are 5 Star Worthy

So yeah, I was kinda bored so I decided blog about some songs that I like. I am not too familiar with the band itself. The first song that I heard of this band was "Like a Stone". At that time, I was not aware that this song belonged to this band. Heck, I could hardly understand the lyrics. I was young and innocent and I did not get a word of English. In any case, the only line that stayed in the back of my mind was " I will wait for you there, Like a Stone...".

So yeah, I was kinda bored so more chibis. I really like chibis .There is not much to say about them except they are pretty cute. So this blog just shows chibis doing chibi things.

So yeah, this is the second picture of a lil chibi comic. In the fist the chibi girl is greeting her pal. She did not see the rock and has just fallen down.

Just Cause 2 Review

I played shooting games before but this is the first one that I actually liked. Just Cause 2 is not just about the weapons, helicopters and airplanes. This Game has Life!! This is the difference between a shooting game by the "others" and a shooting game made by Square Enix. It seems they finally got bored of making RPG games.

In any case, the main character Rico, code name Scorpio, is Hispanic. The leaders of the resistance are a communist girl and a xenophobic guy. A neat combination. These two factions along with Rico from the US are trying to get rid of this tyrant named Baby Panau. Together with the "sloth demon", Rico has to set the country aflame to find out who is pulling the strings on the puppet president of Panau.

His art was so popular that up to 19th century , his work was reproduced. Ok... onto his work.

Isn't this cute. What a pretty lil girl. I think she was made by Sayori. What I like best about Sayori's work is the way she handles the color. It is always soft and pretty and the highlights on the hair and skin are well managed. I also like the lil blue bird with the flower. It is quite the interesting detail. In any case, this anime wallpaper deserves 5 stars.

While he observes her, the forest is starting to wraps around her. While she stares back she is playing disdainfully with Merlin's spell book. It is truly quite the pretty looking image. I like the whole golden colors and the dark blues in the foreground to set the characters up at front. In any case, this painting of Jones deserves 5 stars.

Hey guys, you remember Godzilla. A real classic. I remember seeing he cartoons of this beast a long time ago. Now that I look back, I say to myself, damn that was terrible. In any case, This Genzoman Godzilla looks really cool. He turns cheapy graphics into a scary monsters. Just look at how cool Godzilla looks burning the city to the ground. Truly this picture deserves 5 stars.

Hatsune Miku : Spokesperson for Toyota

The Valkyrie look doesnt suite miku but for some reason she's now the spokes mascot of Toyota. A few month ago hatsune miku merchandize was allowed legaly in the US and just a few weeks ago toyota began a campain using hatsune miku as a spokes character. Hologram miku made her first concert a few month ago and apparently all the US is now suffering from Miku Fever. Similar to swine flu but affects only otakus.

Comite 666

Aside from being the number of the beast, 666 is the tittle of a new Cuban movie. The movie is about the end of the world. The Devil is coming to Cuban and his followers are preparing for his arrival. Overall, it is a satire of the meetings of the Communist party. Considering the repressions in Cuba, it is surprising that this movie is being aired.

He is covering her with the part of the Gernica painting by Pablo Picasso. Gernica was made as a result of a bombing in a market place. He showed the terror and chaos of the attack as a sign of protest against the rising fascist government in Spain. Over all, it is a pretty interesting concept. Rezi truly is a talented mangaka artist. Her art is both intricate and unique. Her forte is both color and composition. For the most part, Rezi prefers to illustrate girls. Just look at how adorable this school girl looks. Her pink uniform is rather pretty. I also like her pink hair and bat. Anyhow, she deserves 5 stars.

The next lovely succubus anime girl looks really cool with her scythe. Rezi has a fine way of making the glow effect really nice looking. She looks extremely cool. Anyhow, she deserves a nice 5 star rating.

This blog has a lot of cute chibis and the like. The chibis from above belong to the Mahou show. The girl goes by the name of Mami. Anyhow, she deserves 5 stars for being so cute.

So yeah, where was I... oh Persian cats. Now, I am gonna talk about chibis. I already have a super huge mega blog about chibis so I thought that I would show off a few more chibis. So... yeah, chibis are cute, chibis are pretty. Above we have a lot of Hatsune Miku chibis singing and stuff. 5 stars for each.

Persian Cats

Persian Cats are classier then regular cats. Usually, we see them in movies as the evil side kicks of the final boss.I remember seeing such Cats in hundreds of James Bonne movies. The bad guys look so cool stroking a kitty while saying, " we meet again, Mr. Bonne". So after writing about Tuxedo cats I decided to write a bit amount my second favorite cat.

Ever since the 19th century Persian cats have been idolized in the west. By doing some special breeding, the Persian cats now come in all shapes and sizes. Just look at the coat of this cute Persian cat. Pretty cute, 5 stars for the kitty.

The first long term cat that I had was a tuxedo cat. I should have researched the cat before accepting the gift. For starters the Tuxedo cats are not bathing cats. They have a special coat to keep water out. My Othello was such a pig. For being a cat, he never bathed himself not even once. Ironically, he liked taking baths with us but when we bathed him alone he would go berserk. I guess he wanted to play...

The Tales of Hoffman

This Sunday I had a once in a life time chance to go to the opera. Ever since I arrived to the US I hardly found the time to worry about the finer things in life. So while I was working on the anime site, mama got a phone call from one of her soul sisters who had three extra tickets to the opera. We had nothing better to do on Sunday so we decided to go to kill some time. It was either the opera or going clothing shopping with my mother (which is a serious pain).

When Sunday arrived we woke up two hour later than we had planed. So then it was the rush , rush, while bro and I took showers mother was rushing calling all her friends asking for directions in order to find Adrienne Arsht Center. We had a light breakfast consisting of two croquettes , a bit of juice and two donuts. After wearing our fanciest cheapest attire we went on an epic quest to find the Adrienne Arsht Center. After looking round like crazy for a half an hour we found the Adrienne Arsht Center. However, a new problem arose. We could not find the front nor parking space to search on foot the vicinity of the Adrienne Arsht Center. Luckily, we found great parking in the Miami Herald parking space. So , that saved us 25 bucks of valet parking.

Tri-Ace the Godslayers

I played many games produced by the company tri-ace. I noticed a common theme in the majority of the final bosses. Always the characters in some way or another rebel against the ultimate authority in the world (AKA God). It is as if Lot went to slay god after what god put him through in the dessert. This ultimate rebellion seems to be recurrent in all their games. I wonder what sort of sick pleasure they feel when they slay god again and again in all their games. I have to admit that one feels powerful when your level 35 Fait beats the all powerful Creator.

Why Red Eye Demons Suck

I truly grown tired of seeing in every anime demons with red-eyes. It is always the same velvet hue. In the past demon eyes varied from tiger-green , to wolf like yellow. After many years demons have gained a monopoly on the red eyes.In anime red eyes serves as a symbol of animal ferocity. However, most demons behave like brutes who enjoy pillaging villages.

Contrary to this depiction demons are cold and calculating. I mean traditionally demons where fallen angels. An accurate depiction of Demons appears in the graphic novel Alichino. These Demons are beautiful and majestic. They use their silver tongue to convince humans to surrender their soul. Their eyes are rarely of a red tint. That being said, it is erroneous to assume that all demons have red eyes.See this demon girl bellow. Her eyes are white. She is cute and perky. A demon like that does not require violence to take a human's soul.

Why the devil is six , not five not four

To begin one must define why the humans are five. The humans are identified with the number five due to their five sense. Those being of taste, touch, sight, sect and taste. The devil is called six because he has the sixth sense. This sense allows one to see both the living and the dead. It allows for the sight of the soul in all beings. The soul’s only mask is the body. With the soul expose, humans’ intentions cannot be hidden from demons.Thus, the demons require a sixth sense in order to read the human soul. The angels and god are called seven. Demons are angels that lost the seventh sense.The seventh sense is that of foresight. The Seeing Eye is the seventh sense. For only the gods know the future. Few humans have obtained either the sixth or seventh sense.

When you see the Alien movies don't you ever wonder what sort of sick twisted mind created such a beast? I always meditated on the origin of monster. Not the mystical cliche origins but the one rooted on people's sick imagination triggered by fear of the unknown. This forum hopes to shed some light on some common fears of demons raging from the Bogeymen to zombie to werewolf.

The Origin of Monsters : Vampires

Today children we will discuss a monster that is as old as time. Or so they tell us. The Vampire has become quite popular and infamous in these modern days. Their powers vary from walking in summer days to flying in the mist. But who or what are they really? We shall unmask today these Victorian Huns.

In the classical format Vampires are terrible evil men that become monsters after committing suicide. They then resurrect in the forms of Vampire and feeds on the blood of the living. Their usual victims are people that they feel some physical attraction. That attraction gets translated in to an unhealthy desire to consume their loved one both in body and in substance. Thus, to keep them within them forever they devour their lovers. At other times, they just munch on random pedestrians.

Zombietology: Their Origin and Creation

The concept of Zombies was imported to the United States from Haiti.During the 1920s occupation of Haiti, Americans learned from its inhabitants the fear of zombies. This was later dramatized and romanticized in such popular movies a night of the living dead and residents' evil.

The mythic zombies of America are known to eat human flesh. However,other depictions show zombies eating whatever they run into thus transforming them into one of their one. This has sorta a vampire feel about it. I suppose that the saliva of zombies contains the zombie virus. They are clumsy in their movements and blind. According to High School of the Dead, zombies only react to sound. Interpretations vary in classical zombietology. Some claim that zombies are created by evil scientific experiments. Others attest that zombies are the result of a demonic resurrection of the body. Some claim that zombies do not suffer putrefaction. Others say that they rot and move while dancing around.

Well, people might not imagine that elves fall into the Category of monsters. Movies like lord of the rings and books like Dragonlance have done a great deal to eradicate the original form of the elves. However, originally elves where beautiful beings that lured humans to their death. Thus, I shall unmasked this beings and show them for what they truly are. This becomes rather apparent in the short story by Becquer Called the Green eyes. In this story a human boy falls in love with a Elvin maiden but she draws him to her lake and drowns him.
