Cute Realism Paintings by Gustave Courbet 5 stars worthy

Today, I wanted to review some pretty amassing paintings. By now, you know enough of Gustave Courbet. So, we can skip needless introductions. The first painting shows a realistic depiction of a bouquet of flowers. They are all really pretty. This cute painting by Courbet deserves 5 stars rating.

Fra Juan Sanchez Cotan Still Life Baroque Spain Paintings

Today, I wanted to review some lovely paintings by Fra Juan Sanchez Cotan. He was the first Spanish painter to specialize solely on still life. Unlike most painters, he did not have the pressure of making commissions  He could focus solely on his art. Those are the perks of being subsidence by the church. Now, its time to review these 5 paintings. Cotan does have a lot more still life. However, these were the few images that were wallpaper sized on the internet.

The Power Project:The Furies Anime Manga References

1.Standing Meditation:

Now, I will discuss the odd references of the Power Project the Furies. The first reference shows Anvil performing Standing Meditation. Standing meditation was performed as far back as 5000 BC. It was done by the ancient Jainism monks. In town between Uruk and the Hindus Valley civilization, there were several stamps cuneiform stamps that showed this type of meditation. These stamps were contemporaries with the Epic of Gilgamesh. For this reason, I featured Anvil performing standing meditation.

Cinderella Disney Movie Review

Cinderella Disney Movie Review

Cinderella was a cute little Disney movie. The prologue about the dead father was kind of sad. Putting the Disney animation aside, I think its pretty weird that her best friends were mice and birds. I liked a lot the song she sand while cleaning the floor. You remember, in the end her song was cut short by the evil cat. I think I should give you a rough overview. The story is about Cinderella. Her father was rich. He married this mean lady, who had two daughters. When he died, he left all his money to his wife. He hoped that his wife would be a good mother to Cinderella. However, she turned Cinderella into a maid.

Peter Paul Rubens Baroque Portraits Part 2

Flemish painter Boy with Bird, 1616, Peter Paul Rubens

Peter Paul Rubens Baroque Portraits Part 2

In this blog, I placed ten portraits that did not fit in any Portrait category. The first painting shows a cute boy with a bird. It is just a small bird on a string. His blonde hair looks really pretty. Anyhow, this lovely portrait of a boy of Peter Paul Rubens deserves 5 stars rating.

Peter Paul Rubens Landscapes Paintings

Farm at Laken 1618, Peter Paul Rubens, Baroque Painting

 Peter Paul Rubens Landscapes Paintings

During the Baroque period, people finally outgrew regular people painting. They actually started to pay attention to nature. So, here is one of the few landscapes of Rubens. The first landscape shows a farm. In the center, we see two peasant women barefooted. They brought food to feed the livestock. On the far left, we see the fancy vanishing point, Da Vinci style. On the right, we see a man tending to some cows. Between the trees, I can half see a church in the vicinity. Most farms where more like towns. The owners and the workers had their own church. I like the addition of the birds flying toward a tree. It adds an air of spontaneity, and naturalism to the scenery.  I think that is everything worth mentioning. This pretty landscape deserves 5 stars rating.

Peter Paul Rubens Greek and Roman Paintings Part 4

Peter Paul Rubens,Prometheus Bound, Baroque painting

Peter Paul Rubens Greek and Roman Paintings Part 4

Well, I am not going to beat around the bushes too much. Above, we see Prometheus. Basically, he was the only Titan on the side of the Gods. He got angry when the other Titans made fun of his brain smarts. Out of vengeance, he guided the Gods to defeat the Titans. He is mostly known for giving fire to mankind. This fire he stole from the Gods. Here we see Prometheus's punishment. He was to be bound to a rock and a phoenix would eternally devour his liver. In other version, it is a hungry vulture. In Ruben's painting we see a vulture. Close to the bottom left, we see the torch of fire, the symbol of Prometheus. The landscape is rather fancy. To emphasize Prometheus helplessness he gave the Titan a super pumped up body. However, this massive Titan lies helpless. It is a pretty neat 5 star worthy painting.

Miami Beach: Another Day Ends Photos by Teresita Blanco

You can follow the trend of the day by the photos. You will know that the photos of the day ends when you see the sunset. In this day, the sunset had hardly any firepower. Then again, its rays were blocked by the skyscrapers. It could had acquired warmer colors. Anyhow, the lady with the sunglasses is my mama. I hardly look like her. I ended up looking like the aunts from my father's side of the family.

In the next photo, I sorta aimed my camera at some tourist picking up their things. I thought that they looked neat with the sun behind them. It turned out to be a good decision.

Seagull,Miami,Sunset

You know, most novice photographers have a strange aversion to vertical photos. They always go for the wider view. In my early days, I was like the rest. It took me a while to start tilting the camera. I still do not like long views...

Seagulls,flying,bird

The next photo features a Seagull. The camera angle is tilted because I was chasing after the seagull. Its really hard to photograph a flying birdie. Most of the photos just have birdies resting on branches. I think this photo was not half bad. Its hard to have a stand still photo with so little light.

Proud,Seagull,sunset

You know, I have so many seagulls photos that I had to create a tag for them. Now, if you search for seagulls you will find them. Then again, not a lot of sea goers are into seagulls. They are really not ugly creatures. The problem is that they are an annoying pest. Just as problematic as a Doves.

Seagulls,Beach,sunset

Well, that is it for seagulls. You rarely see doves in Miami Beach. The seagulls are faster in getting food. Plus, they can fish. Thus, they have a monopoly of the beach area. Doves are mostly seen in urban areas. Well, this is it for this beach day. I hope that these photos humored you even a little bit.

Miami Beach Photos The Rest by Teresita Blanco

Well, the next blog will wrap up this little photo shooting session from 11/9/2008. Man, that was such a Good Year. We went to the beach so many times. It was before the second Great Depression, during the time when Obama was fun. If I had the power of time compression, I would totally relive this year over and over. It was a Good Year. Anyhow, the first photo shows our shadows pasted  against the soft sand. Also, there are a few little baby seagull birds hanging about. You only see those tiny birds around sunset. They are so cute. They get nutrients washed up by the waves. They spend going back and forth on their tiny little legs following the waves.

Picture of the Day 7

Isn't this cute. What a pretty lil girl. I think she was made by Sayori. What I like best about Sayori's work is the way she handles the color. It is always soft and pretty and the highlights on the hair and skin are well managed. I also like the lil blue bird with the flower. It is quite the interesting detail. In any case, this anime wallpaper deserves 5 stars.

Dove Strikes Out

Dove Strikes Out

In a strange way, this blog has something to do with the howl that was killed by the soccer  player. In this occasion, however, a dove intercepted a fast ball thrown by a pitcher. Anyone who knows anything about baseball knows that he average speed of a baseball ranges from 60 to 90 miles per hour. This one in particular was rumored to have gone at least 80 mph. Needless to say, the bird died. Unlike the howl incident, this dove was killed by accident.

Dave Devries Child Like Wonders

Dave Devries Child Like Wonders

The Next artist is a bit bizarre... to say the least. He is not a bad artist ... its just that he turns kiddy grade art into a master piece. This is the work of Dave Devries. He has  the power to read into children imaginative but rudimentary drawings and bring out from them the true and perfect form that laid dormant in the mind of that child. This is the first of Devries monster drawings. Here he takes this cute crude neko drawing of a child named Lyson and using his adult skills he turns them into a work of art. I hope you enjoy this before and after wallpaper that deserves a nice 5 star anime kida rating.
