A few days ago, Corrine Federer was playing around with her camera. She was testing out its high dynamic range features. To make this feature work, she had to take several photos at different levels of exposure. This means that she messed around with the lenses to control how much light it recorded. To make those photos work, she had to take at least 3 photos of the castle.

The Heat on the other hand is more refreshed. Their main players were able to rest for the most the playoff. Dwayne Wade is also recovering nicely from his knee injury. Needless to say, that Nicolas Maduro's victory means bad news for Venezuela. I am surprised that people thought that Crapiles had a winning chance. It is not that Capriles was a weak candidate. It is just that Maduro was Chavez's handpicked successor. You cannot expect Chavez's successor to play fair.

After his victory, Maduro quickly declared himself president. The electoral collage refused to do a hand recount of the votes. There are rumors that they were burning some of physical ballots. In a sense, they were destroying all the evidence of electoral fraud. Like it was to be expected, this did not humor one bit Capriles' supporters.

Recently, the Supreme Court has taken up the case of Gay Marriages. This is one of those landmark cases like Roe vs. Wade. As it is usual, whenever a kind of law blows out or proportions, it is up to the Supreme Court to sets things straight. They have two options, each with groundbreaking consequences. At this time, many of the judges support gay marriages. However, they fear the conservative rebukes that would fall upon them should they allow gay marriages.

At times like this, one must ask oneself, what is the right thing to do? As a Catholic, I am told to think that gay marriages are the devil's work. Although frankly, I do not think very highly on marriage, in general. This event sorta reminds me a bit of the case Brown vs. The Board of Education. In that case, they were trying to decide whether Separate, but Equal was truly equal.

I recently had time to write about the world. Frankly, I did not care much that Chavez died. I say, " Good Riddance" to bad presidents. If you ask me, I think the ghost of Bolivar gave Chavez cancer. I knew the he was going to get cursed when I heard that he stole Bolivar's sword. Back when he was alive, Bolivar fought hard to cast off the chains of tyranny. Had Chavez known his own country's history well, he would have understood that Bolivar would not have wanted a leader like Chavez. As a matter of fact, he was betrayed by a man like Chavez.

Some years latter, the poor warhero's predictions came true. The Republic of Colombia broke down. Now, many years later, Chavez had the audacity to disturb Bolivar's sleep. Historically speaking, all who have disturbed tombs of important figures have been cursed. Such cases were noted often among the Archeologist who disturbed the remains of pharaoh mummies. Like such, when Chavez disturbed the remains of Bolivar he was cursed.

I realize that it is a bit too late to be writing about the new Pope. Frankly, it has been ages since I worked in phistars. Circumstances ,beyond my control, had kept me from posting on a regular basis. Plus, for a while, all my post kinda disappeared. I suppose I will allow for bygones to be bygones. That point aside, today I am going to write a few serious post, for a change. With this in mind, I shall write about the new Pope.

By now, a lot of facts about Pope Francisco have been meticulously covered. A guy we hardly new yesterday, became today's world wide celebrity. Pope Francisco ,after all, is the first non European Pope. Geographically speaking, this is a new development. Doctrinal wise, this new Pope is just about the middle. He is neither too progressive, nor too stiff... per say.

I thought to myself, I could write about Chavez, Korea, the new Pope, ect. In the end, the trivial won over serious business. Why must everything be so serious in the world? Sometimes its best, to kick back and enjoy some ice cream. In this post, I will speak about some of my favorite ice creams.

It has been a day and the facts have been laid out. Yesterday, it was complete pandemonium. No one knew, how many were responsible for the Connecticut shooting. The police is still gathering evidence to answer the hows and the whys. However, I can finally put the facts straight. Yesterday, Adam Lanza shot his mother, Nancy Lanza, to death. The murder weapons  belonged to his mother. Arming himself with his mother's two handguns and assault riffle, Adam Lanza drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School. He forced his way into the schools. Like in most schools, you must pass by the office to get to the Kids. Adam Lanza entered that office and shot to death the School Psychologist and the School Director. He then entered the closets classroom to the office. That classroom was full of Kindergarten students.

In that first classroom died most of his Victims. The Connecticut Shooter then made his way to another classroom. By now, the entire school was aware of his presence. The teachers began to evacuate the students. Some went into hiding. By 10 AM, the police had arrived to the scene of the crime. When the police arrived, they found Adam Lanza dead. He had apparently shot himself, out of guilt. Near, the scene of the crime, the police picked up Ryan Lanza. At first many thought, he was Adam Lanza's accomplice. Heck, for a while many imagined that he was the real killer.

Obama said this was a terrible shooting. They had their whole life ahead of them. Obama is crying for them. He is deeply moved. They have gone through this many times. Now he sites, many times these shootings have occurred. He wants us to take meaningful action. He asked us to hug our children. There are many families in Connecticut who will not be able to do this. He wants us to extend our hand to the needy.

"May god Bless the memory of those children". He has finished addressing the nation. It is now, 3:30 AM. This tragedy struck a cord on us all. Like us, Obama is a family man. He asked himself, what if those had been my kids. It is sickening when a grown man slays innocent children. I wonder what sort of "meaningful action" Obama is planning.

A terrible tragedy has just occurred. From what I heard of the Connecticut shooting, a random guy got inside the school and shot everyone. Among the dead, was the school psychologist and the principal. It was said that a masked man, entered the office of the director. That was the first attack. Then, the director was seriously wounded. According to the police, there are 26 people dead. According to an eyewitness, there was two shooters. One of the shooters is dead, and the other one was arrested (its seems that was false information). At first they thought it was one, now there are two. One of the shooters was a 20 year old, and the other was an 18 year old. They shot at bunch of little Kids. No one knows, what was the inspiration for such a shooting. They estimate that there are at least 18 dead children.

Pope Benedict XVI has a twitter account. He is spreading divine wisdom 140 characters at a time. It is part of the Catholic church outreach to the youth program. After Vatican II, the Catholic church relationship to science has soften. Now they use technology to save our soul. His twitter account is among the fastest growing accounts in twitter. It makes sense considering how many Catholics are out there in the world.

Conflict in Syria : Going from Bad to Worse

I have been looking from afar at the conflict of Syria. Recently, an event picked my interest. This cataclysm made Syria Phi Stars event worthy. Let us start from the beginning. From what I heard in the TV news and the BBC, the conflict began a year ago. Some teenagers had placed some revolutionary democratic slogans in their school. Like it was to be expected, Assad was not too humored by it. He made an example of the teenagers by torturing the poor boys. After that ill fated event, things went from bad to worse. Recently, when Assad saw the coming of the Arab spring, he started taking the rebels seriously. From time to time, he cuts the net to hamper the movements of the rebels who use the social media for communication.

However, the creme de la creme of his cruelty comes in the form of Anthrax and other classical chemical weapons. Assad is determine to stay in power by any means necessary. He will use any and all weapons at his disposal. Seeing this, the U.S. began to draw plans to enter Syria. Chemical Weapons are serious business. Now, let us think for a moment. Were did Assad's troops get such weapons?

I have been hearing lots of news about Egypt. I remember that when they got their freedom from Mubarak the Muslim Brotherhood promised not to take the power from the people. For being religious men, they are not keen in keeping their promises. Anything to return to the same old same old. Well, Mohamed Morsi recently gave himself powers like those wielded by the late Former Tyrant Mubarak. In order to calm the angry mob looming outside his office, he told them that those powers would only last until a new constitution was drafted. He promised them that he was not going to stay in power forever.

At times like this, I imagine that the Israel Gaza conflict is like a boxing match. A boxing match that never ends. They have taken a break from beating each other up. During time out, the Hamas has brought out their Ace in the Hole, aka the Arafat. In order to rekindle hatred against the Israeli, the Hamas plans to unearth the Arafat. The Arafat was the former ruler of Gaza. He was well liked among both parties. He kept something called peace for a few years. The Hamas believe that the Israelis poisoned the guy when he stopped playing nice. They wish to use his corpse as living proof that the Israelis are assassinating them.

At a certain point of our life, we all become religious. Angus T. Jones' awakening came during a filming of a "Two and a Half Men" episode. He said out loud what we all knew. "Two and a Half Men" is really filthy. According to him, research shows that these bad shows makes people bad. I have seen some psychology research of the sort. You know the one with the clown. Kids saw an adult beating a clown and then they imitated and built upon that abuse. Frankly, seeing the filth of the "Two and Half men" made me wonder a few things. I wondered why that shows was put so early in the day. Sure, 7 PM is prime time. However, it was a bit too filthy for that time.

Much to Angus T. Jones' chagrin, I must disagree with him on a few points. Sure, the show is filthy. However, there is plenty of other smut out there. Honestly, has he ever read the Bible? That Song of Solomon is very hot for being part of the good book. Then again, the fact that it is there means that the Bible is a really good book. I do remember God's mandate, "Multiply yourself and your descendants". How are we suppose to do that without making love. Well, lets put theological debates on the side.

Today, I purchased a Powerball lottery ticket. At times like this, I begin to dream of fortunes unimaginable. Bellow, is a list of things I would do or get should I win the Powerball lottery.

1.The first thing I would do is change my name. Trust me, this is part of my grand plan.

2. Second, I would move away to a place were no one knows me. See, this goes well with my name changing plan. Frankly, I would not move too far away. I would find a place around St. Cloud. I got lost there one time. I imagine that it would be hard for moochers and leeches to find me there. However, I frankly would like to move to the Jewish neighborhood of Miami Beach. The houses there are pretty neat.

Sex Scandal in the US has always been a hot topic. Now, the limelight of shame has fallen upon David Petraeus. Frankly, I had never heard of this super spy, until today . It makes me wonder about a few things about the CIA. Think about it, if the head guy cannot keep an affair a secret, its a wonder how he handles the US state secrets. Can you imagine writing the biography of a CIA guy? Think of it like this: 

"What did you do between 2001-2?" asks Mrs. Broadwell. 
"That information is classified!" responds David Petraeus. 
"What was the real reason for going to Iraq?" asks Mrs. Broadwell. 
"That information is classified!" responds David Petraeus. 
"How's your marriage?"
"Classified!" responds David Petraeus.  
"Do you think I am pretty?"  asks Mrs. Broadwell.
"Classified!" 
"My husband won't be back for an hour"asks Mrs. Broadwell, " Whatever do we do to pass the time?"
"Now, that is sensitive information" David Petraeus kisses Mrs. Broadwell. 
"I love you, Peaches!" responds Mrs. Broadwell.

Meditation on the Israel Gaza Conflict:  Israel's War against the Hamas

This conflict between the Hamas and Israel seems as old as time itself. Then again, the Palestinians have been complaining about the Israeli ever since Israel was founded. In this state of affairs, I do not see how peace can be possible. The only way to end the conflict with the Hamas is to wipe that terrorist cell off the map. Like it was to be expected of their kind, they are hiding behind women and children. They are not men enough to fight, arms to arms, with the Israeli forces. Thus, they resort to guerrilla tactics. I suppose it is pretty easily for the westerners to critique their tactics. However, there are a few issues to considers. For starters, when you are dealing with an overpowering foe, one naturally chooses to win by any means necessary.

I am not excusing the Hamas' terrorist behavior. I simply wish to put things in perspective. As the saying goes, all is fair in love and war. Needless to say, neither side is willing to budge. From what I heard the Hamas group is being supported by Iran. Like we all know, Israel is the United States' pet country. Our US Tax dollars are keeping Israel's armed forces up to date. From my perspective, this seems like a proxy war between the US and Iran. The Cold War might be over, however, their tactics are still pretty popular. As such, both the Hamas and the Israeli are using combat tactics learned from their sponsors. The Isreali fight like the US, Hamas fights like the terrorist cells of Iran.

It is over, Barack Obama has won! Told Yah!

A few blogs ago, I told you that Barack Obama was going to win. Incumbents have always won in all the US elections. This pattern has become more common place as time passes. It is more convenient for lobbyist to bark up one tree, than to worked up a new guy. Frankly, Romney never stood a chance. Ironically speaking, Romney so far has been winning in the popular vote. Yet, Obama got all the electoral votes. The whole electoral collage thing is the reason why I do not vote. In the end, the campaigns are catered to the electoral collage. They only humor the regular voters to make them feel special.

I would believe that my vote counts if there was direct election. This whole electoral collage thing is the bane of my existence. It was made up by the founding fathers because of Plato. In the old days, Plato was popular. He feared true democracy. Thus, he advised leaders to suppress the masses. He had a firm belief that the populous was full of idiots. Following his advice, the Founding fathers made it so that only the WHAPs could vote. It was later expanded to the other chibis. One would image that this would have turned things in the favor of the masses. However, one could always count on the electoral college to do what is right. What is right? Whatever is convenient for those in power.

Seeing the success of my political blogs, I decided to give it another whack at them. Currently, the bane of my existence is Rick Scott. He is the governor of Florida. When he first started his campaign  I said to myself," Que Cara dura!". That is a Spanish saying. It means he is saying straight at your face that he is corrupted. You got to give him points for honestly. If you ask me, he is the best candidate that represents Florida.

Allow me to explain! Tourism wise, they sell you Florida as if it was the Garden of Eden. However, its foolish and childish to focus only on the good aspects. That is why it never humored me much the tourist that went to Cuba. They love the place. However, for the residents, Cuba is a prison, surrounded by Water. This same analogy can be applied to Florida. This state is the capital of frauds.
