Kinuko Y. Craft is a Japanese born artist. She does illustrations for plays and fantasy wallpapers. She also likes to illustrate fairy tale books. She has won many awards for her artwork. This first review focuses on her fairy tale artworks... for the most part. I hope you like them a lot. They are all 5 stars worthy. If you wish to see more, go to kycraft.com . That is her home website. Anyhow, the first illustration shows Sleeping Beauty. All around her we see flowers growing. She has been asleep for a pretty long time. The organic looking flowers were made art nouveau. This pretty picture deserves 5 stars rating.

Vittorio Reggianini Italian 1858-1938 Middle Class Ladies Dress 5 stars

Today, I wanted to review the artwork of Vittorio Reggianini. Reggianini was an Italian painter. He mostly specialized in painting middle class scenes. I choose to review him because of the dresses of his girls. I find delightful the shinny look of their dress. Now, let us review his first painting. Above, we see a cutie sitting on a couch. Behind her, we see pink flowers that go well with her dress. Truly, this lovely painting by Reggianini deserves 5 stars rating.

Nicolas Poussin Love 5 Stars Worthy Classical Paintings

Today, I wanted to review some of Nicolas Poussin's paintings about love. The first painting is about the romance between Rinaldo and Armida. Armida was an enemy sorceress. She had been sent by the Saracen to stop the movement of the Crusading Christians. As a assassin witch, Armida had managed put Rinaldo asleep. He was the general of the Crusaders. However, she fell in love with the Rinaldo. In this painting, she is admiring his beauty. Cupid is stopping her dagger from killing Rinaldo. This cute romantic painting by Poussin deserves 5 stars rating.

Original Mangaka Anime Wallpapers that are 5 stars Worthy

Today, I felt like featuring 10 amassing anime wallpapers. All these anime characters are original. They were not based on anyone in particular. Most of the mangaka artist featured in this blog are from pixiv. The others are unknown. Now, let us get this show in the road. The first anime wallpaper is the handiwork of Amo of pixiv. Here he featured a strange anime couple. One is a school anime girl. She is beneath an umbrella. Beside her, there is an anime guy wearing a gas mask. It is snowing, even inside the bus. She seems to be asking the viewer to get closer. Methinks they are creepy ghost. Beside her, I see a poster of Madame Butterfly. It is a classical Chinese tragedy of sorts. Truly, this wonderful anime wallpaper is 5 stars worthy.

Colorful Jose Royo Impressionism Paintings

This is the last Jose Royo blog. The first painting is called "lady with a fan". The pretty maiden has a fan with a peacock painted on it. As usual, the maiden is averting her gaze from the viewer. It adds a bit of mystery to this painting. The rose garden in the background is a lovely detail. The colors in this painting are 5 stars worthy.

Sleeping Beauty Disney Movie Review

Sleeping Beauty Disney Movie Review

Once again, Disney did a movie about a Brother's Grimm Tales. Like in the book, a childless couple of monarchs finally gave birth to a princess, name Aurora. At her birth, they engaged her to Prince Philip. This assured the prosperity of both kingdoms. At the party of her Baptism, they invited everyone to the party. Also attending the party were three fairies. In the original book, they had invited 12 fairies. They stood for the 12 apostles. Originally, these fairies had to eat only from golden silverware. However, they did not have a set for the 12th fairy. Thus, they painted golden the plates of the 12th fairy. This fairy stood for Judas. Like Judas, Maleficent instead of blessing Aurora, she cursed her.

Peter Paul Rubens Baroque Family Portrait Paintings

His Wife Helena Fourment and One of Their Children, Peter Paul Rubens, Baroque Painting

Peter Paul Rubens Baroque Family Portrait Paintings

These paintings are more important that his commissioned work. Rubens would not have made any monetary gain from painting his family. Still, for status purposes they worked like a charm. Thus, here we have Rubens with his second wife. The baby girl in blue and gold is one of their children. They are outside in their garden. The wife seems to be chastising the girl who was asking for sweets. Rubens is telling his wife to be nice. He has more experience with children, than his second wife. The scenery is pretty cute. Behind them, we see Rubens' parrot. It was a gift from a Portuguese Monarch. For a family scene, this painting works pretty well. Truly, this family portrait deserves 5 stars rating.

Money Poems, Bitter Bullet, Rosy Garden and Done Poems by Teresita Blanco

Money poem, Preacher of death, Teresita Blanco

$$$
by Teresita Blanco

Though it be a mortal sin,
I curse you
From the bottom
Of my heart.
I cast you to hell!
Oh! Preacher of death!

Survival of the fittest
You say? Nay!
Those with riches
Are never the fittest!
They are cursed genes,
Envious and green.

They rot the self
Made by man!
Who are they
But grim reapers?
Birds of prey,
That steal the chick
From both the falcon
And the white lark.

Editor's Note: My brother told me to do a little intro to my poems. He said that it would increase their God powers. Frankly, by now I already forgotten the emotion that inspired these bitter poems. I see them as milking the fangs of a snake. This one in specific was inspired by something I heard on TV. A weird kid, said that we should let die those that do not have health insurance. I thought that was really evil. Thus, here we have this chibi poem. The preacher of death thing is an anachronism. I my Literature teacher was having me read Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra. I like his preacher of death line. Thus, here we have it.

Peter Paul Ruben's Bible Paintings Part 2

Adam,Eve,painting

Peter Paul Ruben's Bible Paintings  Part 2

The next painting shows Adam and Eve. Here Eve has her hand against the tree of life. You can see part of the snake. Adam is addressing Eve. She is listening to him shyly. It seems that Adam is telling her that it is forbidden to eat from the tree of knowledge. In the background, we see the garden of Eden. Their poses are quite naturalistic. Their bodies are idealistic but realistic in their mannerism. Thus, Peter Paul Rubens gets 5 stars.

John William Waterhouse of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Part 5: Miscellaneous

John William Waterhouse of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Part 5: Miscellaneous

Well, this one is just to stuff the seven that I forgot to rate. Ok, the first one is a study for the rosebuds painting. You can see the idea starting to take shape. We have yet to see the stained glass window. Originally, the maiden was going to have the flowers like a bouquet. I guess the basin worked better. In any case, this painting of Waterhouse deserves 5 star rating.

John William Waterhouse of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Part 4: Greek II

naiad,painting,waterhouse
A Mythological Painting by John William Waterhouse

This one is called "A Naiad" (1905). A Naiad is a fresh water river nymph. Their rivers are said to have prophetic powers. So here, a Naiad is looking upon a forest dweller. These forest dwellers became more common as the wealth of Athens increased. They despised the corruption in the city. Thus, they went to live in the forest as a shepherd or a bard. This one with a leopard skin is sleeping near the Naiad river. He might have a prophecy real soon. The scenery is basically a forest and a lake. In any case, this painting deserves 5 star rating.

 Waterhouse circe painting

John William Waterhouse of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Part 4: Greek

This is the Last post on John William Waterhouse. This one will focus on Greek myths and women.  Its a real bummer that a Romanticism artist made lots of Greek artworks. This subject is common for the enemies of the Pre-Raphaelite movement. Still, Waterhouse took this classical subject matter with a Romanticism twist. You know, most of Waterhouse subject matter is depiction of women. Unlike his contemporaries, he is not judgmental about women. He shows different faces of them without succumbing to petty moralism. Now that this lil analysis is over, lets just get the show on the road.

The next pretty maiden is Juliet. Well, we already know a lot about her. Waterhouse has depicted the fragility of this 16 year old rather well. She is fiddling with her blue bead necklace. Her red dress (of passion) works pretty well. The pink overlay for gentleness is also a nice addition. I think she is inside the Capulet mansion. In any case, this painting deserves 5 star rating.

John William Waterhouse of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Part 3: Medieval I

John William Waterhouse of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Part 3: Medieval

Like other great romanticism artist, Waterhouse had an interest in medieval legends. That time of spirituality, saints and the bizarre fascinated those skeptic romanticist. They where tired of empty logic devoid of meaning. They sought to escape the new materialism. Thus, the looked into the past to find inspiration. Ok, the first painting features Saint Cecilia (1895). She was a blind saint popular during medieval times. She is know as the patron saint of Music. She was only a young teenage girl when the Romans had her killed (along with her husband). As they prepared to chop her head off, she sang to her lord. Before she was taken away, she took care to leave her her home church in order (in the early days churches where held in the houses of wealthy worshipers. She used to host Christian worship in her house, when the Romans sought to slay her). It seems that the Romans failed trice to cut her head off...she died in her house after receiving the sacrament....

John William Waterhouse of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Part 2: Rome

Ok, hello chibis. Here is the second blog of Waterhouse. The first blog dealt with subject matters of Waterhouse's time period (more or less). This one will feature scenes from the Roman Empire. The first one is called Dolce far Niente. Its a french name. I am not certain about its English title. In any case, it does not matter much. This is a historical genre scene. Here a Roman lady is resting on her sofa. She is outside the patio looking at some doves. The architecture is quite accurate. I like the checkerboard floor a lot. Its pretty neat the Roman Lady's fan. Back then, having one's hair pulled up was the fashion. To have it down meant you where a maniac (or a crazed female worshiper of Bacchus). All honorable Roman woman citizen wore their hair up.
